Who we are
HodlTalk is an independent third-party iOS client for bitcointalk.org. It is not an official BitcoinTalk product. We do not operate the forum.
Data we process
- Forum traffic: The app connects directly to bitcointalk.org over HTTPS. Boards, topics, search, login, and profile settings are provided by that site.
- Login cookies: If you sign in, session cookies for bitcointalk.org stay in the on-device WebKit / cookie store so the app can remain signed in. We do not upload those cookies to a HodlTalk server.
- On-device preferences: Favorites, recent boards, reading history, collapsed sections, and app icon choice are stored locally on your device.
- Image cache: Post images may be cached on device for performance. You can clear the cache in Settings.
What we do not do
- No HodlTalk analytics SDK, advertising ID collection, or third-party ad network.
- No cross-app / cross-site tracking for advertising.
- No account registration inside HodlTalk — accounts belong to bitcointalk.org.
Third parties
When you use the app, bitcointalk.org (and hosts linked from forum posts) may process data under their own policies. Review the forum’s terms and practices on the site itself.
Children
HodlTalk is not directed at children under 13. Forum content is user-generated and may be unsuitable for younger users.
